Father-to-be Jerry O'Connell is throwing out his childhood junk - to make room for a nursery for his kids.
The actor is expecting twins with wife Rebecca Romijn early this winter, and he's been busy clearing some space for the babies' bedroom in their Los Angeles home.
He says, "We cleared out a bedroom, actually not a bedroom, it was my aunt and uncle's old stuff.
"I had my computer and video games in there. That got cleared out for the kids. So, I'm wondering what I'm going to do with my video game stuff. But, maybe that goes out the window when you have kids."
And O'Connell admits they still have a lot to do in preparation for their twins' arrival: "(We've been) baby-proofing the house, but it's mostly getting the nursery ready. It's another room. We've got a couple cribs and stuff, so that's about it."
But the couple will have some live-in help - in the form of O'Connell's mother-in-law Elizabeth, reports People.com.
He adds, "Her mum is going to come stay with us. I'm sleeping on the couch - I'm kidding... No, I'm joking. A lot of people are getting us ready for the first couple months."

Fox's Do Not Disturb may have become the first new show of the fall season to bite the dust. (Fox gets a head start on the other networks because its fall schedule is interrupted in October for post-season baseball.) Entertainment Weekly reported on its website Thursday that the critically flayed comedy, starring Niecy Nash and Jerry O'Connell, was axed after three episodes because of low ratings. However, TV Week reported today that the show was merely being preempted next week and that 20th Century Fox TV was insisting that it had not been notified of any cancellation. In what industry observers regarded as a somewhat tongue-in-cheeky apology, the producers of the show sent a letter to TV critics early in the week asking to be forgiven "for being the perpetrators of such bad television."

Rebecca Romijn showed off her very visible baby bump after grabbing lunch at Mr. Chow in La yesterday. She had a big smile on her face, despite her husband Jerry O'Connell putting his foot in his mouth on national television earlier this week. The actor called his pregnant wife "huge" during a visit to Conan O'Brien, which was followed by a public apology and promise of flowers a few days later. Considering how fun-loving these two seem, we have a feeling any hurt feelings are already over and maybe Jerry even learned a lesson about women before his two little girls arrive. Flynet
