I was flying to San Francisco last week to visit my mistress, and on the plane I was presented with the option of watching Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull or the Sex And The City movie. I gave Indy a chance but was disenchanted within minutes. Meanwhile Carrie and crew had me weeping all the way to the Golden State. So it is with much indifference that I bring you this news, because like most of you I believe the Indy franchise has passed its prime. Nonetheless, Indiana...

Kelsey Grammer has ruled out the possibility of a Frasier movie. The actor, whose new sitcom Back To You was cancelled earlier this year, says he does not want the show to follow in the footsteps of The X Files and Sex And The City. "I hope not - it's just bound to be a failure," he said. "I like them on television. I even like Sex And The City on television. I know it had great success. "But stylistically, the way it's shot, you could kind of buy that it could be a film. It wasn't such (more)

SEX AND THE CITY creator Candace Bushnell had gone on record to say that she would love to see teen star Miley Cyrus play the young Carrie Bradshaw in a prequel to the hit TV series. Bushnell is currently hard at work writing two new 'teen' SEX AND THE CITY books, which will follow Sarah Jessica Parker's character in high school.
"'Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd - she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene." Bushnell said.
The books are set to be released in 2009.

Desperate Housewives star Dana Delany turned down the lead role in Sex And The City - because she was fed up with "talking about sex."
The actress has revealed she was offered the part of Carrie Bradshaw in the hit TV series, a role later made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker.
But Delany insists the timing was wrong, because she had just starred in kinky 1994 comedy movie Exit to Eden.
She says, "The producer of Sex and the City, Darren Star, was an old friend of mine and he talked to me about it. But I had just played Mistress Lisa in Eden and people reacted badly to it. I had been America's sweetheart and they (the public) just didn't want to see me in that role. So I said, 'Darren, I just can't talk about sex one more time'. So Sarah Jessica Parker made it her own."
And Delany admits she is glad she turned the role down, because she doubts the show would have been so successful without Parker.
She adds, "I wouldn't have been the fashion icon that she was. It would have been a completely different show and who knows if it would have been a hit?"

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that she married in a black dress because she felt embarrassed by the media glare. The Sex And The City star said she wanted to wed Matthew Broderick in 1997 without intense media scrutiny. "As an actor, a lot of attention is paid to you. And for some reason, I felt on that day, that I should not bring attention to myself. And my husband kind of had the same attitude about it," she said. "I think (more)

Okay, so this is not quite movie news, but it kind of relates. Candace Bushnell is writing two new novels based on the young Carrie Bradshaw from the SEX AND THE CITY series.
According to the Guardian, publisher HarperCollins promised that 'The Carrie Years,' aimed at teenagers, would give "an inside look at Carrie's friendships, romances and how she realised her dream of becoming a writer".
The two new novels will be released in 2010 by HarperCollins, who bagged worldwide publishing rights.
"Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd - she led it," author Bushnell said. "It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene."
Bushnell's novel SEX AND THE CITY was turned into a six season TV show starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and a hit 2008 movie.

It's no secret that Warner Bros. has been interested in doing a Sex and the City sequel, almost since the first moment those hefty, estrogen-powered box office receipts started rolling in. Now it looks like their interest has turned into certainty, and they're doing not just a sequel, but maybe sequels. The news comes straight from the mouths of Sex helmer Michael Patrick King and his star Sarah Jessica Parker. Fox News caught them at a DVD release party, where they confirmed that a sequel was happening. In fact, King is already on his way to start writing it. King also joked that he's thinking of doing an animated version as well, while author Candace Bushnell revealed, less jokingly, that she's working on writing a Sex and the City prequel. Sex and the City: The College Years? I'd wager that it's only a matter of time before that becomes a

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker has sent devoted Sex And The City fans into a frenzy of anticipation after she admitted a sequel to the movie has not been ruled out.
Fans of the show have been clamouring to see the fashionable foursome make a return to the big screen - after the first feature film stormed international box offices, grossing more than $391 million (GBP211.4million) since its May release.
And the actress, who played Carrie Bradshaw in the hit TV series, admits a sequel to the movie is on the cards - if producers can come up with a red-hot story.
Parker tells Usmagazine.com she and writer Michael Patrick King will "have that conversation (about a sequel) sooner rather than later".
She adds: "It's all about the story. If we can't tell a story that's really worthy of an audience, then we won't do it.
"We've been really lucky at this point. We've been in people's good graces for a long time, and we take that very seriously. So that's the biggest challenge, the story."

Three out of the fabulous foursome met at the New York Public Library last night to launch Sex and the City on DVD. The extended version of the movie hits video stores on Tuesday and the ladies didn't miss the opportunity to throw a party. While most of you are excited about the possibility of getting to know younger Carrie, until then it's time to snuggle in and watch their big screen debut again. Sarah Jessica Parker says there won't be another "Sex and the City" movie. The actress - who reprised her role as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the long awaited "Sex and the City: The Movie" earlier this year - doesn't think there will be a sequel.
She said: "It has taken the last two years of my life to get to this point. To ask for anything beyond that, honestly, we would have to be greedy. I don't really even feel that it's in our control."
Despite the popularity of both the movie and the original U.S. TV show, Sarah Jessica has no regrets about bidding Carrie farewell.
She added: "It wasn't difficult to let go, I think that maybe it's because I've always sort of looked at this as literature. Maybe it's because we have had so many chapters to tell. It's always bittersweet, but I never have
