Actress Rachel Bilson has paid tribute to her late grandmother by designing clothes in her name.
The star has teamed up with Dkny Jeans to create an affordable collection called Edie Rose.
Bilson tells Access Hollywood, "Everything is under $100 and I always say fashion doesn't have to cost that much money, which is why I thought of it as a really good line to associate with and I just think that they are very relatable for young girls,"
It isn't the first time Bilson has turned designer - she once created her own maid of honour dress for The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz's wedding to her best friend.

If the old maxim "What I really want to do is direct" still holds true, this week's releases confirm that the filmmaking game is more open than ever. Anyone can have a crack at it; actors, teachers, digital artists, preachers. Perhaps you should have a go yourself. Hell, if Paul W.S. Anderson can get work doing it...

Rachel Bilson has signed on to star in James Keach’s upcoming indie romance “Waiting for Forever,” according to Variety.
The film, written by Steve Adams, follows a young man who prefers not to work and decides to spend the rest of his life with a TV actress living in Hollywood.
Bilson’s big-screen credits include “The Last Kiss,” “Jumper” and the upcoming “New York, I Love You.” She’s also known for playing Summer Roberts on television’s “The O.C.”
I know at these early stages it’s hard to come up with plot details, but right now, “Forever” doesn’t sound all that exciting to me. I mean, there’s gotta be a little bit more to this story of a man who simply decides to live with his love.
Maybe we’ll get a better taste of this romance soon. Then again, with the good-looking Bilson in one of the lead roles,

Since breaking into stardom on The O.C. a few years back, Rachel Bilson has vacillated between doing bad indies (The Last Kiss) and bad big-budget adventures (Jumper). She'll attempt to end the losing streak by going back to the indie side, starring in the romance Waiting for Forever. As a stretch, 27-year-old Bilson will play a 25-year-old Hollywood actress, whose boyfriend chooses to quit his job and simply live with her for the rest of his life. The boyfriend, apparently, has not yet been cast. Variety also reports that James Keach, who most recently directed the indie romantic comedy Blind Dating, will direct the film.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has taken to the runway in a bid to raise money for charity in her third Fashion for Relief project.
The British beauty was joined by top model Tyson Beckford, Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole and rock daughters Kim Stewart and Elizabeth Jagger on the catwalk for London's Fashion Week (beg14Sep08).
Funds from this year's event will benefit the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, which campaigns for safe pregnancy and childbirth in developing nations.
She says, "This is what the fashion world is doing to give back. I won't ask people to do anything unless I think it's really important. I only ask when I think it's something they will be passionate about. All these people here tonight feel the same way... They (the crowd) cheered and stuff. It felt like a show. I was smiling, dancing and everything. I want to go and cry now."
And former The O.C. star Mischa Barton was not short on praise for 38-year-old Campbell.
Watching from the front row, she added: "I do lot of work with Save the Children, and today I was doing press with them and they told me this charity is affiliated with theirs. I learned up on it, and Naomi is doing a good thing with it. She has always been very friendly and caring to me. She's really sweet."

Mischa Barton appears to have put her failed romance with rocker Taylor Locke behind her - after she was spotted leaving a London nightclub with actor Josh Hartnett.
The former The O.C. star hooked up with Hartnett and a male friend of his at the trendy Bungalow 8 club in the British capital during a party held in celebration of London Fashion Week.
Barton was seen chatting to Hartnett at the nightspot, before she and a group of pals accompanied him to his hotel in nearby Soho, according to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.
However, the Pearl Harbor actor, who is in London preparing to star in a West End production of Rain Man, apparently seemed unimpressed with Barton and she left the hotel just an hour later.
A source tells the publication, "Josh looked pretty bored and was totally ignoring Mischa. She persisted though, and kept getting closer and closer to their table while dancing provocatively.
"Lots of girls were trying to get near their table, where the two guys were drinking champagne and vodka cocktails. Mischa had a lot to contend with, but didn't give up."

The former The O.C. star will return as privileged rich girl Juliet Darling in episodes of Dirty Sexy Money next year, but series creator Craig Wright doesn't think her return to the programme will be permanent.
He tells America's TV Guide magazine, "I want her to stop by when it's fun for her, and then (I'll) send her (character) off on new adventures."
But Wright insists there's no ill feeling between himself and the actress, who checked into a treatment facility after she was dropped from the show in 2007: "We're all on very good terms."

"90210" has given The CW a wider target market with its pilot episodes on Tuesday, September 2. The continuation of the '90s popular series "Beverly Hills 90210" absorbed 4.91 million viewers with 4.3 million for its women 18-34, the most that the network has come up with in the demographic.
When it was aired at 8:00 P.M, the series builds its momentum to go up steadily from 4.54 to 5.14 million by the second hour. Furthermore, with 2.6 rating in the adults 18-49, "90210" easily slips as CW's highest scorer so far and also outperforms other similar teen scripted series such as "Gilmore Girls", "Dawson's Creek" and "The O.C." in the women 18-34.
"Our strategy was to be able to get out ahead of the other networks," CW Entertainment's Dawn Ostroff said. "It gives us a chance to get the shows exposed to a wider audience. It's been challenging for us to compete with everyone launching at the same time.

At age 26, a precocious USC film-school dropout named Josh Schwartz became the youngest show-runner in network-television history when Fox gambled on his primetime soap opera The O.C. Though it owed something to the trail blazed by the likes of Melrose Place and Dawson's Creek, the show distinguished itself through a savvy mix of teen angst and snappy banter, juicy class-driven conflicts, a great alt-rock soundtrack, and adult characters who were just as well-drawn as the kids. After four seasons, The O.C. faded away, and Schwartz returned as co-creator on two new shows launched in fall 2007. Pitched as The Office meets Alias, NBC's Chuck (which Schwartz created alongside his USC buddy Chris Fedak) stars Zachary Levi as a wimpy tech geek who becomes an accidental James Bond when an encoded e-mail from an old friend in the CIA embeds spy secrets into his brain. "Gossip Girl", which increased its demographic of women 18 to 34 by 10 per cent on its second season premiere on Monday (September 1), is adding two new cast to create more story twist. The fresh bloods are Willa Holland who was previously cast in "The O.C." and John Patrick Amedori who once made a cameo in "Ghost Whisperer".
Willa will play Agnes who works her way to become a 16-year-old model for Elanor Waldorf Designs. Her character is slated to mess up with Jenny Humphrey, played by Taylor Momsen, who after the first season learned the hard way of being humble. Agnes who is said to appear in at least three episodes, will give the negative effects in Jenny's life.
Meanwhile, John will be on the other side, playing Aaron Rose who becomes the new love interest of Blake Lively's character Serena van der Woodsen. In the novel version, Aaron is known

Actress Mischa Barton has revealed she secretly checked into rehab after her drink driving arrest last year.
The former The O.C. star was arrested on suspicion of DUI in December, and was sentenced to 36 months on probation, alcohol education classes and a fine after pleading guilty to charges this spring.
And now Barton has revealed she punished herself over the lapse in judgment by locking herself up at an unnamed rehab clinic in a bid to prove to herself and the authorities she was not a drunk.
She tells Marie Claire's UK edition, "I wanted to prove to the court that I would take it completely seriously, so I went to rehab to prove I was sober.
"It really helped in getting the more serious aspects of my case dropped because, you know, that's what they want to hear; you're not an alcoholic and you don't have a problem. So I did it in the most low-key way possible - I didn't make a fuss about it and I didn't tell a lot of my friends. I just did the program and got through it."
And she's still angry with herself for driving while over the limit.
She adds, "The thing is, I hate drunk drivers. Living in L.A., I can't stand them, and that's why I was so disappointed in myself. It's so not worth it when you put other lives at risk."

Hey V, thumbs up to anarchy!
Photo: David Frank/RopeofSilicon.com Can one article at The Hollywood Reporter alone spearhead a movement to put control back in the filmmaker's hands and leave the fanboy wet dream out of the process entirely? Just getting back from Comic Con last week took me four days to readjust to normal life. I was on geek overload even though I did my absolute very best to maintain my sanity. It began with 14-year-old girls yelling and screaming as the cast of Twilight was announced and it ended with a party with fellow online website owners hanging with the stars and drinking alcohol on a rooftop at the Hard Rock Hotel. It was certainly a whirlwind and it takes some serious getting used to. Previewed at Comic Con were titles such as Watchmen and Terminator Salvation. One isn't due in theaters until March of 2009 and the other until May.

While many are still trying to gather more bits about the storyline of the latest "Terminator" installment, "Terminator Salvation", from any where they can, one particular place possibly missed out is from the title itself. Talking about the forthcoming action movie, director McG hinted that the title of the movie means more than a mere designation.
To MTV News, the 40-year-old filmmaker suggested that the "Salvation" in "Terminator Salvation" withholds a broad message of the second chance human gets after the apocalypse. "Even though we may sin, ultimately we deserve a second chance," explained McG. It is then explained that the using of the title to decipher the plot is similar to "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" when the "Judgment Day" became the shorthand of the apocalypse.
Teasing further, the director known for his works in television series, including "The O.C.", "Supernatural" and "Chuck" shared that the title refers to the actions of a specific character.

The guys over at ShockTillYouDrop.com recently sat down and chatted with Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted Stephenie Meyer's acclaimed novel "Twilight" for the big screen. In the interview you can read right here, Rosenberg talks about how she ended up with the project and what challenges she encountered during the writing process.
Here is a quick snippet from the interview:
"It was less trimming the fat and more condensing it. There are a lot of conversations that play well obviously in the book, less so on the screen - the sitting and talking scenes, I mean. The essence of it, you distill it down to the essence of those character's emotional arcs and still hit the same points to move the story forward and stay true to the book."Rosenberg's writing credits also include Anne Fletcher's 2006 surprise hit "Step Up." She also worked as co-executive producer on several
