It’s coming to Tiff. It’s got The Office creator Ricky Gervais in the leading role. And it looks very, very funny. Assuming, of course that you find movies about anti-social dentists who gain the ability to see ghosts after being briefly dead during a medical procedure funny. It’s David Koepp’s Ghost Town, it’s kind of like the anti-Sixth Sense and we’ve got the trailer in the Twitch Player below the break. Yum.

And the nomination goes to "Pushing Daisies" on ABC, a series that really cleaned up in a lot of the comedy series categories of this year's prime time Emmy awards earning 12 nominations. While many of the show's nominations were in technical categories, there also were a few key nominations including Lee Pace for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Kristin Chenowith for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Pace, who plays Ned in the ABC series, has some stiff competition including Alec Baldwin from NBC's "30 Rock," Tony Shalhoub from USA's "Monk," Steve Carell from "The Office" on NBC, and Charlie Sheen from "Two and a Half Men" on CBS. Chenowith also will have her work cut out for her. She faces Jean Smart from "Samantha Who?" on ABC, Amy Poehler from ...

It didn't take me long to be laughing out loud while I watched the trailer for the new comedy Ghost Town starring Ricky Gervais from the only version of "The Office" I will recognize. Just imagine, you go in for a colonoscopy and come out only to learn that you died for 7 minutes (a little less) and now you can see dead people. Yeah, this isn't The Sixth Sense, it looks like it may be so much more. Give the trailer a watch below and look for Ghost Town this September.

Say this much for Meet Dave: At least it's not culturally offensive like The Love Guru. And with two - count 'em, two - funny lines, it has one more laugh than The Love Guru, as well.
This movie is still absolute garbage, from the initial concept to the dialogue, to Eddie Murphy's ridiculous accent-y accent, to the visual effects. Murphy plays Captain Kirk from another planet, except his Uss Enterprise is actually just a human sized version of the captain himself. See, people are tiny on the captain's planet, and they need Earth's salt water to survive.
Seems like a bad reason to fly all this way, but whatever.
So from inside the lifelike robot version of Eddie Murphy, the real and tiny Eddie Murphy tries to retrieve an

Ever wanted to see Rainn Wilson from TV’s success hit “The Office” rock the big screen? On July 30, 2008, the actor will be seen in Peter Cattaneo’s “The Rocker”, a comedy about a failed drummer who gets a second shot at fame when he joins his nephew’s high school rock band.
Yahoo! posted three new clips from the upcoming film, which you can see below. Two of them are merely extensions of scenes already seen in the trailer, but they’re quite funny. Oh, and you get to see Wilson playing the drums naked. Not that it’s necessarily what you want to see, but I’d thought I’d warn you. Enjoy!

Actor Rainn Wilson has blasted legendary rockers Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin for wearing make-up and women's clothes - branding them too girly.
The Office star portrays a washed-up drummer given a second chance at stardom in new movie The Rocker, and is a huge fan of the heavy rock genre.
However, Wilson dropped his loyalty to his beloved groups after the bandmembers adopted effeminate styles.
The actor says, "I grew up listening to a lot of classic rock. I loved AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, but as soon as it started to get girly, as soon as they were wearing women's blouses, mascara and eyeliner - guy-liner I call it - as soon as it went there then it kind of lost me."

Britney Spears' acclaimed stint on U.S. sitcom How I Met Your Mother hasn't earned her an Emmy nod - she and Mary-Kate Olsen's guest TV spots won't be among those competing for gold.
Both stars have been left off the top 10 list of Emmy semifinalists in the Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category.
Instead, Sarah Silverman is a favourite for her part as an obsessed stalker in Monk, alongside Oscar nominee Amy Ryan for her star turn in The Office.
Others on the list include Carrie Fisher and Edie Falco for 30 Rock, and Polly Bergen and Shirley Knight for Desperate Housewives guest spots.
The awards will be handed out on 6 September.

Oscar nominee Amy Ryan is heading back to TV because she misses the laughs on The Office.
The Gone Baby Gone star will return to the U.S. sitcom, as Holly Flax, for multiple episodes next season.
She says, "I don't know what they're (writers) going to do with the character but, as it was written, there's certainly a lot of potential.
"It's a funny thing to enter a show that you're a great fan of - and it's nice to tell lighter stories. I love the dark, grittier side of life, but it's nice to take a break from that, put a skirt on and brush your hair."

In an apparent effort to avoid last year's embarrassment when the titles of the "short lists" of Emmy contenders leaked out on the Internet, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences made the unprecedented decision on Thursday to itself reveal the full lists. The lists -- ten shows in the best-comedy category; ten in the best-drama -- are determined by the votes of all members of the academy. A "blue ribbon" panel then winnows the lists down to the five official nominees in each category, which this year are due to be announced on July 17. (This year's Emmy awards show is scheduled for Sept. 21.) The ten drama finalists include: Boston Legal, Damages, Dexter, Friday Night Lights, Grey's Anatomy, House, Lost, Mad Men, The Tudors and The Wire. The ten comedy finalists include: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Family Guy, Flight of the Conchords, The Office, Pushing Daisies, 30 Rock, Two and a Half Men, Ugly Betty and Weeds.

On the off-chance you've never seen Rainn Wilson as Dwight K. Schrute on The Office, Dwight, next to his brother Mose, might be the best new creation on TV since Tobias Funke on Arrested Development. He's both exactly like and positively unlike anyone you've ever met.
It's a real skill when an actor can portray a character who is instantly believable and completely foreign, and it serves comedies particularly well.
It appears that Wilson has honed his skill again as Robert "Fish" Fishman in this summer's The Rocker. Fish is a drummer. Or was a drummer, at any rate. Back in the 80s, he played in the hair metal outfit Vesuvius, but he was eventually booted from the band. Twenty years later, Fish sees his chance at fame again with the band A.D.D.
There's only one problem: The rest of the members of A.D.D. are all in high school.

I just got back from seeing “Get Smart,” and while I did not laugh all too much, I have to admit most of the action sequences are mildly entertaining. Most of the jokes fall flat though, and the film relies too much on Steve Carell, who’s definitely not as funny as in “The Office.”
I will post my detailed review on here very soon, but for now, let’s see how well the flick was received by some fellow critics online. Your own thoughts and comments are always appreciated.
• James Rocchi over at Cinematical liked some of the jokes in the film, while he pretty much hated others. Here’s a tiny sample of what he has to say:
“But while the actions and the settings in Get Smart may circle the globe, a lot of the comedy feels shut in. Fat suits aren't intrinsically funny; when Max is

British funnyman Ricky Gervais has put his vocal abilities to the test - by singing the theme song to new sitcom Toyboize.
The 46-year-old has loaned his vocal talents to the online comedy show, about a washed-up band desperate to make a comeback, written by and starring Gervais' former The Office co-stars Jamie Deeks and Ewen Mcintosh.
And Gervais - who does not appear in the show - insists his short stint in 1980s pop group Seona Dancing makes him the perfect candidate to record the track.
He says, "I thought the idea of the show was really funny and as a failed popstar myself, I jumped at the chance of writing a bad song."

Cult sitcom The Office is set for yet another potential spin-off starring MTV comedy Human Giant's Aziz Ansari.
The programme first became a hit when British comedian Ricky Gervais turned his awkward pre-fame office experiences into a hit show, and when that version of the sitcom ended, it was turned into an American concept, starring Steve Carell.
Now, the show's U.S. bosses want to take the idea further and they'll plant Ansari and others in upcoming episodes of the show with a view to giving them their own sitcom, according to Daily Variety.
The Office executive producer Greg Daniels says, "We met him (Ansari) early on and thought he was very funny... We have a good character for him."

Ricky Gervais has revealed that he thought sidekick Karl Pilkington was a "round-headed freak" when they first met. The pair teamed up with The Office co-creator Stephen Merchant for a two-hour special for the launch of NME Radio. We were assigned a 'lackey' and as the caretaker didn't work Saturdays, the job was given to Karl. "When (more)
