A must for baseball fans

One of the great things about this documentary that Ken Burns didn't do was include many of the actual key players (rather than just friends of the director or producer who have nothing to do with baseball like Burns did) involved in what's being documented. The very early World Series stuff is mostly commented by writers, but soon, you get the very players who were there. Much of the early stuff uses old clips from the 70s and 80s of the now elder players talking about what happened, but then as you get into the electronic age, you get the current guys.

Nothing like having Carlton Fisk talk about the '75 Series game six home run or Joe Carter talking about his World Series ending homer or Maz about his 1960 series ending knock. Much of the action captured is first rate and I personally am a big fan of Costas as a sports caster so I think they got it perfect having him narrate. Of course, as a Giants fan, I had to fast forward through the '02 series stuff...

You really get everyone here too. Aaron, Greenburg (the same footage as seen in "Life and Times of Hank Greenburg"), Mays, Frank Robinson, Whitey Ford, Spahn, even DiMaggio.
