Trivia:
The man and woman walking the dog in front of Rinoa and Thessaly's house are director David Michael Quiroz, Jr. and assistant director Kristen Thomas. They are credited as "Leon Ortiz" and "Ana Ortiz", a reference to Quiroz's first movie Night of the Chihuahuas. The dog they are walking is the same dog featured in that film as well. moreGoofs:
Revealing mistakes: Characters constantly pump rounds into the shotgun even though it is a single-shot model without a slide on it. moreQuotes:
Blake Torres: Hey you wanna go outside and grab your ankles, you be my guest. Me? I'm gonna make 'em fight for their supper. moreFAQ

I saw this movie last night and I have to say, I've never seen a film with such low production costs. Basically, the story opens up with your average "college students in the middle of the woods surrounded by evil" formula and it seems like every other film with that basic premise but really the film matures into something more complex than just your basic slaughterfest. Some of the action scenes are well done despite the low production costs and some of them are terribly slow and poorly shot so its not all that great in that area but where this film redeems itself is in the plot line itself. The Writer/Director seems to be yet another person who is sick of these run of the mill slasher flicks you see all the time in your video store and adds a depth to the characters that is rarely seen in the low budget horror genre. Admittedly, the low budget films I'm used to aren't quite this low budget, but I've seen a better effort at a complex tale weaved here than some films made for many times more the cost. I suspect that the main factor in this film's weaknesses has to do with its production costs as really, the acting was poor, the film was too short and the story could have been fleshed out more had the director had more money to play with, the fight scenes were poorly choreographed and frankly, the "evil" that surrounds them isn't all that overwhelming due to what was likely cost cutting in the casting. All in all, this is not a bad film, but it could have been SO much better had the director had more money to work with.
