TEETH A review by M. Gayles A puritanical high school girl named Dawn, discovers that her vagina has sharp teeth and will bite off a penis during sexual intercourse.
Dawn is the spokesperson for abstinence at her high school which makes her the target of all the horny teenage boys, including her own step brother. These boys are going to have their way with Dawn one way or another, and none of them have any idea of the horror that awaits them.
As the story progresses Dawn uses her monstrous vagina as a weapon to fight off the perverts. The story of "TEETH", is twisted metaphor for a developing young woman coming to terms with her own sexuality. Watching her take control and getting even with the boys is a real treat to watch, mainly because the star of the movie Jess Weixler has the perfect look for the character of Dawn and gives a strong performance with just her facial expressions alone.
And while "TEETH" could have been a thrilling horror flick, it disappoints because it attempts dark comedy by playing the gruesome sex violence for laughs. A severed penis isn't that funny the first time, nor the second, or the third. And when the dog gets a hold of the severed member, its just plain disgusting. And the sub plot about the step brothers sexual attraction to Dawn since childhood is just plain wrong. When the teeth cut his finger as a child, you'd think he would learn to stay away. Well not in a movie this twisted. remember Seth from the movie "Super Bad"? He was willing to die for sex. If only he was in this movie.
The last few minutes of "TEETH", hint at a possible sequel. I would like to see Dawn find the man to conquer the monster, but I have to see more severed penises the deal is off.
