Trivia:

Director Marc Forster had wanted to film in the Swiss Alps which was a location for On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) and is where he grew up. Switzerland was also the nationality of the literary James Bond character's mother. However, the Swiss Alps location was written out of the movie.
