tMF Controversial: Twilight's sequel New Moon- Separating the facts from the rumors!

14 October 2008 7:03 AM, PDT | From The Movie Fanatic | See recent The Movie Fanatic news

tMF is in the midst of launching Part 2 of our Twilight Comprehensive guide (http://themovie-fanatic.com/exclusive_articles/film_focus/tmf_twilight_guide1/), and one of the biggest controversies surrounding the movie adaptation of Twilight is the 'possibility' of sequels. Apparently, some movie blogs have began to announce that indeed the next book, New Moon, is to be made into film. I'm quoting the article posted at CinemaBlend (http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Twilight-Sequel-Gets-Started-10510.html) (via Twilighters Anonymous (http://twilightersanonymous.com/Summit-making-new-moon-movie-official.HTML)): For those of us who have been following the online frenzy surrounding Twilight, it seems like a no-brainer that the production company, Summit Entertainment, would go ahead and make a sequel based on the next book in Stephenie Meyer’s series. Now the company seems to have the same faith in their franchise that the teen girl fans do, and is officially going ahead with the Twilight sequel,

'Twilight' Sequel Geared Up

14 October 2008 2:47 AM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

Though "Twilight" won't be hitting the big screen until November, Summit Entertainment have been reported to move ahead with the making of its sequel. Breaking out the report on Monday, October 13, Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood Daily noted that the sequel will be based on Stephenie Meyer's next book of the series, "New Moon".

Though mentioning that the studio have officially gone ahead with their plan for the sequel, no further details about the sequel is shared. About the book from which the second movie will be based on, it has been said to be focused on losing true love. In the follow-up story, Isabella "Bella" Swan has grown to be an eighteen-year-old young woman.

On "Twilight" itself, it is a modern day love story between a vampire and a human. It resolves around seventeen-year-old Bella, her mysterious vampire classmate, Edward Cullen, and their unlikely romantic relationship. Finding acceptance from one another,

Twilight Sequel Gets Started

13 October 2008 9:06 PM, PDT | From cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news

For those of us who have been following the online frenzy surrounding Twilight, it seems like a no-brainer that the production company, Summit Entertainment, would go ahead and make a sequel based on the next book in Stephenie Meyer's series. Now the company seems to have the same faith in their franchise that the teen girl fans do, and is officially going ahead with the Twilight sequel, New Moon. Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting the sequel news; she doesn't cite any sources, but Finke is often the first to know these things regardless. Much of the rest of the article is what many of us already know-- Twilight cost virtually nothing ($37 million) to make and is setting all kinds of records for trailers viewed online, soundtrack sales, and all the rest. We've already heard Stephenie Meyer talk about how she'd like to see the movies turn

'Twilight' Updates: Soundtrack, Running Time, and New Pictures

13 October 2008 6:53 PM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

With Twilight a month away, we've got a few updates for what might be millions of expectant fans, which is different from pregnant fans. At least I hope so.

First, we have an official run time for Twilight: Two hours on the nose. Summit Entertainment says it's exactly 120 minutes long, and who are we to argue? That does seem a tad short, given the length of the novel, so let's hope it's good editing and not just a lot of editing.

Next is the official track list for the Twilight soundtrack, which we found at the official site of author Stephenie Meyer. Notice track ten, if you will.

Muse — Supermassive Black Hole Paramore — Decode The Black Ghosts — Full Moon Linkin Park — Leave Out All The Rest MuteMath — Spotlight (Twilight Mix) Perry Farrell — Go All The Way (Into The Twilight) Collective Soul — Tremble For My Beloved Paramore — I Caught Myself

A New Twilight Trailer and Full Synopsis!

13 October 2008 8:31 AM, PDT | From DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news

November 21st cannot come fast enough. I am stoked to see what Catherine Hardwicke has turned Stephenie Meyer's sassy vampire love-story into. But, sadly, we have to wait more than a month.

When her mother re-marries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn't have fangs

Let The Squeals Begin: New Twilight Images

10 October 2008 3:54 PM, PDT | From cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news

Cue the high-pitched squeals: a ton of new Twilight photos are now online, hot on the heels of the trailer that debuted yesterday. Rope of Silicon has the goods, but we've included a few below to give you a taste of the chilly, gray romance you're about to witness. Seriously, until I saw the trailer yesterday I didn't know the movie was set in the Pacific Northwest, but most of these new images seem to feature Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in some expansive outdoor locale. The shots are gorgeous as a result, of course, but you start wondering if this is a movie or an ad for Oregon? Either way, check out the romantic stills below, and head to Rope of Silicon for all 45 new images. That's right, 45! Looks like a lot of Twilight fans will have new desktop backgrounds.

Another New 'Twilight' Trailer

10 October 2008 5:39 AM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

Twilight is in a real peculiar position at the moment. I would imagine that when the film was given the green light, nobody expected it to have $100 million potential. And I would imagine that while they were filming it and in the months after director Catherine Hardwicke and stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson finished their work on the movie, they also didn't think it would become something of a phenomenon.

But then Harry Potter vacated November and moved to July 2009. Twilight took the opportunity to bolt from a crowded weekend to the November date Potter left behind - as well as what is likely to be a fair percentage of its audience - and suddenly, a major player was born.

How much money can it make? Hard to say. $100 million would have to be on their minds, though. If not, why not just leave it in mid-December to fight for its life.

You wanted it, you got it, and early no less. The new and final trailer for Summit's Twilight (11/21) has popped up online over at YouTube about three-and-a-half hours early. How's it look? Well, pretty much the same with a slightly better music track, but I have already weighed in on how I think this film looks like nothing more than an after school special. What do you think? Has Catherine Hardwicke captured your attention with the vampire/human love story?

Ugh. I really don't want to watch this, but I guess I will, just to see what the hype is all about. And for those who are already crying tears of joy just thinking about watching this, here you go. Yet another full trailer for Twilight has just arrived and it looks as dark and thrilling as... I don't really know. I just know that teenage girls (and other Twilight fans) around the world are going to go crazy tonight over this trailer. And I don't think I need to provide any further introduction to this, except to say that I honestly think it looks terrible. This looks like it should be showing on The CW, not in theaters. But that's just my own impression.
