Harvard Lab - 45 Seconds until the next break

This series is a bit formula, a bit edgy. It is called Fringe because it's plots are involved with Science on the edge of our learning to solve the crimes that have been committed or to reveal reasons why some odd thing has happened. It is well produced but the scripts go from good and unique to predictable depending on the episode so far.

There is a male-female team investigator team in the field finding stuff. The male member of the team has an eccentric scientist father who often is called on the help when they can't add things up. Often they are in the fathers lab when they discover something that clues them in to the crime.

The concept of science on the edge is a good idea. This in a way is formula because the investigation of strange happenings has been done before. The best example I can think of is The Night Stalker. While not as scientific as this show, Kolchak was always investigating things on the edge of being believable.

When this show has a good script, it is easy to buy into. When it doesn't, it gets much harder to buy into. To Foxes credit, they do warn you about commercial breaks with this show so you can plan to raid the fridge easier. About that mold in your food you get, we got a Harvard Lab Scientist who can look into that.
